CMMI V1.3 Planned Improvements

The CMMI Constellations consisting of CMMI-DEV, CMMI-ACQ, and CMMI-SVC , some of their core components and relationships will be briefly described. The CMMI V1.3 planned improvements, criteria for inclusion and overall project schedule will be presented as well as proposed changes being considered for SCAMPI. People CMM and the Resiliency Management Model (RMM) essential thrusts will also be briefly described, and basic CMMI product statistics will be available for discussion if desired.

­­About Rick Barbour:

Rick Barbour is at the Software Engineering Institute CERT, Carnegie Mellon University, located in Pittsburgh PA. He is currently focusing on developing a Federated Cyber Risk Methodology (F-CRM) for the Department of Home Land Security and integrating the Resiliency Management Model (RMM) training and appraisal method products. He is a SCAMPI High Maturity Lead Appraiser, CMMI instructor for the Intro and Intermediate Level Courses, the Understanding CMMI High Maturity Practices Course, Continuous Risk Management and an observer of candidates seeking similar SEI credentials. He was a contributor to the development of the Capability Maturity Model Integration and an author of the SCAMPI Method Definition Document and SCAMPI Guidelines for Acquisition Organizations. He previously was the SEI Acquisition Support Program Chief Engineer Navy supporting Navy as well as other DoD clients. He is a retired Navy Commander and aviator, whose career was focused in the Air Anti-Submarine Warfare community and computer systems development and management as a Navy Material Specialist.
